Mavic was early to design a disc wheel. They’ve been improving the wheel ever since. this Comete Road Tubular Rear Wheel is a big step up. It will fit in any TT/triathlon rig and can go on you road bike as well.

Mavic combines carbon and aluminum with this wheel, a feature that separates them from the competition. The carbon is used to create the disc’s walls, and it is a second feature that distinguishes their offering: the two walls are different. The drive side is convex paracular, while the non-drive is lenticular. This allows for both improved aerodynamics and improved vertical compliance. The rim itself is aluminum and finished with Mavic’s Exalilth treatment. It will maintain its dark good looks for the life of the wheel, and the treatment will provide excellent braking in all weather conditions.

Being Mavic, they’ve also designed a tire to maximize aerodynamics and minimize rolling resistance, and it is included with the wheel. It’s their Yksion Pro PowerLink tire in the 23mm width, the ideal with for this wheel, which as a 25mm rim width. Weight is 1100g without the tire.

Included with the wheel is their multifunction wrench, Exalith brake pads, BR601 quick release, valve extender, and wheelbag. The wheel comes with either a SRAM/Shimano or Campagnolo cassette body,  and a XD-R driver can be purchased separately and swapped in if you have a yet for 1x on your TT rig.
